Our New Garden

Our new place already had a garden from the previous tenants.
9 tomato plants
3 green beans (blech)
2 summer squash
1 zuchini
3 green pepper
1 eggplant
1 huge rosemary bush
2 grape vines
and onions.
There are also tons of wild flowers which are pretty much dead.  But I've seemed to save some of the other flowers.  I actually discover more each few days, like the mint among the wild flowers.  My 4 tomato plants barely made the move, we lost a few branches in the effort.  It's also really annoying how Finn likes to pick the tomatoes, like the ones which need just one more day to be perfectly ripe.  I lose about 3-4 each day to him.
I love going to the backyard everyday to get fresh tomatoes for the salad for dinner.  And they are like a burst of flavor in your mouth.

I have big plants for next summer (pending we'll still be here), tons more golden delicious tomatoes, white sweet corn, peppers, and lots of squash.  I wonder if I can do sweet potatoes and beets this winter.  I'll have to consult the expert.  All in all I find it very soothing to garden and even just watering each day.
