I was over at my friends the other day and she had some cookie dough that she made and offered me some. Now this wasn't any ordinary cookie dough. This is the New York Times Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. My mom made it once right after Jared and I moved back from Switzerland. It's worth the effort.
Anyhow, we've been having some 100° weather and with a gas stove I didn't even think of cooking. It was finally cool enough (like the house was below 80°) this morning so I popped them in the oven. Of course Finn noticed them cooling on the rack. Now, we try to not let him have too much sugar, it just leads to more meltdowns and we don't want to start any bad habits. But every once in a while it's kind of fun to give him something sweet and see his reaction. Well, this one was well worth it. He was HILARIOUS and absolutely delighted, and it made for a very pleasant trip to Trader Joes.
