My mother won't be planting a garden this summer because she's on the east coast and I don't think I can live without her tomatoes. So, although I was intimidated at first I decided to plant a garden with the help of "muscles" (Jared) and "messy" (Finn who loves the dirt.) At one point during planting Finn just put his face in the dirt. We have a little training in the backyard to do to keep him out of my plants. So far I can say that bath time has been moved to the evening instead of morning.
I planted 2 sun gold tomato, 2 Isis tomato, 4 basil and 3 cilantro plants. I will get to the chives soon enough. If this all works out next year I'll do squash and peppers.

Love! I'm loving the way you feed Finn. Chris and I are super healthy (most the time!) but for some reason I can't wrap my mind around that with a baby. She just eats the stuff from the store (granted, the organic kind, but still). I would love to chat with you about how you went about it and how you got him to like all this great stuff!
Your garden looks lovely.
IT WILL WORK! I promise! Just water it, sing them a few songs, and poof! They grow! I love gardening....
