...the house is a bit of a mess. Last night Jared and I were sitting at dinner chatting about life. I mentioned how I'm really enjoying life right now, and how I've been working on being content with what I have. Then I got a little teary eyed and looked up at Jared and said, "this is everything I've always wanted, thanks for making it possible." A loving husband, a wonderful house and to be a mother. I had looked forward to motherhood every since I could remember. I can't believe I've actually arrived at my hopes and dreams. I recognize that I am so fortunate. Yes, there are a million countries to visit and I would love more time to do some art and cook, and yes I would love it if my arms were skinnier (we're getting there.) But I actually have what I want. Not a lot of people have that. Since Jared and I have been married we've broken every single lease (4) we've made, and have yearned for something better (which is why we kept moving.) Well this is the "better." HOORAY!
However, once we get too comfortable you know we'll move again, we've already been talking about it. However, we have vowed to stick to the end of this lease. Being too comfortable is boring:)

So true! Thanks for reminding me that I too have all my "dreams come true." But let's be honest, sometimes when we get everything we ever wanted, that sneaky pesky little demon inside us starts to whisper "you want something else." Be quiet! I'm content! It's hard getting everything you want. :) You're doing great!
Oh, and if you move again, please move to Portland!
Being too comfortable IS boring. It doesn't always take a huge move (Ha, we were talking about moving to Ireland last night!), but it is good to mix things up FOR SURE!!
You are loverly.
I love this post. I"m so happy for you and I'm so happy that you see the goodness around you.
That is what my house looks like at the end of the day too. I have had to let go of my need for things to be completely picked up all the time. and I am also addicted to moving. not sure how I will ever do when we buy a house.... one place for more than a year?? what? good thing that is a far off venture!
